Pervis Estupiñan has officially signed with AC Milan as a replacement for Theo Hernández. The transfer from Brighton cost €17 million plus €2 million in bonuses. The Ecuadorian defender, born in 1998, began his career in the youth system of LDU Quito and progressed through various clubs like Granada, Almería, Mallorca, Osasuna, and Villarreal, where he won the Europa League. Since moving to Brighton in 2022, he recorded five goals in 104 matches. Estupiñan will wear the number 2 shirt at Milan.
Milan is delighted to announce that Pervis Estupiñan has joined the Club on a permanent basis from Brighton & Hove Albion FC. The Ecuadorian defender has signed a contract with the Rossoneri until 30 June 2030.
Pervis Estupiñan, born in Esmeraldas (Ecuador) on 21 January 1998, started his footballing journey in LDU Quito's youth system. He made his first-team debut for La U in September 2015.
He then had spells at Granada, Almería, Mallorca and Osasuna before joining Villarreal. With the Submarino Amarillo, he made 74 appearances and won the Europa League.
In the summer of 2022, he moved to Brighton and went on to score five goals in 104 games for the Seagulls. He made his full international debut for Ecuador in 2019; to date, he has 48 caps and four goals for La Tri.
