Svenja Udelhoven, District Executive Director (Kreisdirektorin) of the Rhein-Sieg district, succeeds Stephan Santelmann, former District Administrator of the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis. Svenja Udelhoven will assume the chairmanship of the Supervisory Board of Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH effective 15 December 2025. She serves as District Executive Director of the Rhein-Sieg district and succeeds Stephan Santelmann. Udelhoven has been a Supervisory Board member since 2014 and most recently served as second Deputy Chair. She becomes the first woman to lead the municipally owned public transport operator’s Supervisory Board. The appointment coincides with strategic challenges including service stability, workforce availability, fleet renewal, and implementation of transport and climate policy objectives. Thorsten Schmalt and Andreas Frauenkron take deputy roles amid a post-election reshuffle.
