Omega Healthcare, a revenue cycle management firm, has collaborated with UiPath to enhance its administrative processes through AI automation. By deploying an AI document-processing tool, the company aims to streamline medical billing and insurance claims operations, reducing the manual workload for its employees, who currently manage a staggering 250 million digital transactions annually. Vice President Rajusiva Arunachalam emphasizes the need for automation to alleviate the burden of mundane tasks on their over 30,000 employees, thereby allowing them to focus on more impactful initiatives in healthcare management.
"We have a lot of humans working in the background for these doctors and providers who help them do their non-clinical work," Arunachalam said.
"Every year, they process about 250 million digital transactions. These tasks have traditionally been done manually," Rajusiva Arunachalam explained.
