Amid a federal government shutdown and federal disruptions to public broadcasting and national arts grants, Oregon artists and cultural organizations received significant state support. The Oregon Cultural Trust disbursed a record $4.15 million, driven by increased fiscal year 2025 donations and investment earnings. The Oregon Arts Commission awarded $310,000 in arts learning grants to 31 organizations across the state. The Cultural Trust allocated $1,038,285 to five statewide partners and $1,038,285 to 45 County and Tribal Cultural Coalitions that together distribute roughly 450 community grants annually. Grants target arts education projects and help stabilize local economic and cultural activity.
