The Palestinian Red Crescent has reported that recent aid deliveries to Gaza have not reached civilians amid fears of chaos and rising violence. After a three-month blockade, Israel allowed some aid trucks into Gaza, but many remain stalled at the border due to complicated Israeli military procedures and ongoing insecurity. Although they have reportedly delivered around 90 trucks of aid, distribution has been hampered significantly. With deaths from starvation rising, urgent action is needed to ensure that aid reaches those in need promptly.
"I can prove that nobody has received [aid]. No civilian has received anything yet," Younis Al-Khatib, President of the Palestine Red Crescent Society, said.
Al-Khatib described the modest aid shipments as an "invitation for killing," citing fears of mobbing, looting, and unrest as desperate residents await food and medical supplies.
