Boston rallied from a 4-1 deficit in the third period to beat the Rangers 5-4 in overtime at Madison Square Garden. Nikita Zadorov scored the overtime winner at 3:27. Mikey Eyssimont posted three points in the final 20 minutes, scored twice and set up Marat Khusnutdinov's equalizer with 1:05 remaining. Joonas Korpisalo played the full game and stopped 33 of 37 shots. Eyssimont, a free-agent pickup known for his physical play, added heavy hits and a shorthanded goal after stripping Adam Fox. Coaching staff acknowledged the poor early play and praised the team's late response.
