A 16-year-old boy fell approximately 15 feet from a defunct lighting tower in Brooklyn's Bushwick Inlet Park. The incident occurred around 1:15 p.m. near N. 10th St. and Kent Ave. Emergency medics transported the unconscious teen to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The metal-frame tower, which supports a non-working spotlight, is located behind a chain-link fence within the park. Medical debris was observed around the tower following the tragic incident. The victim's identity is being withheld pending family notification.
