On March 9, three women stole more than $41,500 in jewelry from various stores in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The group first targeted a Catbird store in SoHo, taking approximately $31,000 worth of jewelry. Later, they hit Gorjana in Williamsburg for about $7,000 and another Catbird location for an additional $3,500. Surveillance footage captured their method of operation, where two women distracted employees while the third stole jewelry. A store owner recognized two suspects, noting they returned the next day with a man but left without stealing anything.
