"The victim, who was suffering from cold exposure, was brought via longline to the shore. The victim told the Flight Officer that his girlfriend had slipped out of her personal flotation device and had drowned."

Brigitte Manspeaker, 37, from Los Angeles, died after her kayak capsized in Tomales Bay. She was kayaking with her boyfriend and a dog when the incident occurred. Reports of the overturned kayak were received around 6:10 p.m. The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office's helicopter arrived quickly, and footage showed the boyfriend and dog clinging to the kayak. Manspeaker was found 200 yards away, face down in the water. She was pronounced dead at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, while her boyfriend was treated for hyperthermia.
