Redwood Christian High School in San Lorenzo launched a varsity football program and quickly reversed a losing start. After a 1-6 2024 season, the Eagles opened the current season with five straight wins, forcing local attention and respect. The roster includes many freshmen and sophomores while coaches and administrators maintained a long-term vision for the program. The effort aims to give East Bay students a reason to stay close to home and to draw local talent from nearby cities. Coaches see potential for the program to become a regional powerhouse against established teams.
