A diesel tanker nearly flattened a Toyota Tacoma near Fresno when the tanker attempted to cross approaching traffic on Manning Avenue during heavy fog. The Tacoma driver did not see the tanker and braked too late, leaving the pickup wedged under the tanker. The driver was called a 'lucky survivor' and reduced speed in the fog allowed braking that likely prevented a deadly outcome; everyone walked away virtually unharmed.
