"Did you know that Oct. 6 marks the Super Moon? It is so large and bright that farmers could harvest by moonlight. Hakone Estate and Gardens will celebrate the magical moon on Monday, Oct. 6, starting at 5:30. Free lanterns for kids, entertainment, Haiku readings, kimono display and activities. Admission is $10-$60, depending on age. www.hakone.com I was blown away when I stopped to visit the Serbian Food Festival at 18870 Allendale Ave."
"It was a joyous, happy, delicious event and an incredible success, attracting more 2,000 visitors for traditional food, live music, activities and family-friendly fun. Many Saratoga streets were named after Serbians who arrived here in the late 1800s, Jelena Vukicevic says. If you missed this year's festival, plan on the third weekend in September 2026, when it will return it's worth it!. www.samichael.org/food-festival"
