Obscure Coffee Roasters Shines a Light on Puerto Rican Coffee in Brooklyn

Obscure Coffee Roasters has opened its first physical cafe in Brooklyn, prominently at the entrance of the Bushwick Comedy Club. The cafe offers coffees from small producers and emphasizes innovative post-harvest processing, particularly showcasing lively Puerto Rican coffees. Owner Norberto Peña highlights the scarcity of these beans and the challenges of supplying them in New York City. "It would be very tough to supply a cafe in NYC with only Puerto Rican coffee. A lot of the coffee gets consumed on the island, and it's not even enough to meet the demand there."
