"The Esplorer Cup is a new way to experience espresso, a reimagined shot,"
"It's not about chasing 'the single most delicious taste,' but about letting drinkers see the layers and choose how they sip."
"Without crema, the black liquid only is cleaner, clearer, sweeter, and the coffee's flavor notes show more distinctly. Its body may be lighter, but balance and definition are improved,"
"Separating crema makes sweetness and hidden flavor notes 'pop.'"
Squeaky introduced the Esplorer, a glass espresso cup with a central partition, a silicone valve at the bottom, and a stainless steel base. Users pull a shot into one chamber, twist the base to open the valve, drain the earliest crema-free liquid into the opposite chamber, then close the valve to preserve later extraction with crema. One side presents earlier, cleaner liquid while the other retains crema-rich extraction. Separating crema reveals sweeter, clearer flavor notes and reduces palate-coating bitterness and astringency. The cup supports sampling, direct comparison, custom blending, hot/cold splits, sensory education, research, and quality control in cafes.
