In February, Bybit, a Dubai-based crypto exchange, fell victim to the largest cryptocurrency heist ever, with hackers stealing $1.5 billion. The security team, in collaboration with the FBI and blockchain experts from TRM Labs, began immediate investigations. The attack was linked to North Korea's Lazarus Group, known for multiple cybercrimes. TRM Labs played a crucial role in tracking the stolen assets across blockchains, leveraging their expertise to assist law enforcement and trace the funds' movement quickly after the heist.
