Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord is a new animated series created by Dave Filoni premiering April 6 on Disney+. Set after The Clone Wars, the story follows Maul as he attempts to rebuild his criminal syndicate on an Empire-untouched planet while plotting revenge against the Empire. He encounters a young Jedi Padawan named Devon Izara who could serve as his apprentice. Tension arises when the Padawan considers working with Maul as allies against their common enemy, but Master Eeko-Dio-Daki warns that despite shared opposition to the Empire, Maul cannot be trusted as an ally. The series features an accomplished voice cast including Sam Witwer as Maul and Wagner Moura. Two episodes release weekly, with the finale airing on May the 4th.
