The Robert Day Sciences Center at Claremont McKenna College is a 135,000-sq-ft facility arranged to maximize multidisciplinary integration and interaction. Each level is oriented in a different direction to channel the flow of people and ideas between laboratories, classrooms, and the surrounding campus. Commissioned in 2020, the center serves a community of 1,400 students. The building represents BIG's first completed project in Los Angeles and the initial finished element of a BIG-designed masterplan for CMC's Roberts Campus that aims to unify the campus by extending the central mall and adjacent sports bowl.
