"Cornered against a protected forest, on a gentle slope that overlooks a lush botanical garden, there is a bold infrastructure, a mute monument, almost without memory, function and scale."
"The building is meant to host culinary activities; from intimate, informal dines to large social events. Supported by a generous specialized kitchen totally buried underground, the building challenges the archetype of an open plan. Published on February 05, 2026"
Cornered against a protected forest on a gentle slope overlooking a lush botanical garden, a bold, mute monument functions as a culinary infrastructure. The form is intentionally minimal in memory, function, and scale. The project accommodates a range of culinary activities, from intimate informal dinners to large social events. Operational support comes from a generous specialized kitchen that is completely buried underground. The configuration subverts the conventional open-plan archetype by concentrating service functions below grade, allowing the above-ground mass to remain restrained and monument-like while serving diverse dining formats.
