What is A2P 10DLC?
Briefly

A2P Messaging, or Application To Person Messaging, is a system where messages originate from applications rather than from individuals. This type of messaging does not expect a recipient's response. It is widely utilized in scenarios such as Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), mobile marketing alerts, and appointment reminders. Other applications include chatbots and one-time passwords (OTPs), among others. In contrast, P2P Messaging, or Person To Person Messaging, involves direct communication between individuals, such as messaging friends via social platforms or SMS.
A2P Messaging stands for Application To Person Messaging, where one person receives a message from an application, not another person, and is not expected to respond.
Common examples of A2P Messaging include Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), mobile marketing notifications, and appointment reminders, which do not require direct replies.
