Amazon now lets Prime members add items to upcoming orders with one tap | TechCrunch
"Amazon is rolling out a new feature that makes it easier to buy more throughout the week. The company said it's now updating its Amazon Shopping app and website with a new addition that lets Prime members add items to upcoming deliveries with one tap, instead of having to create a new order. The feature is designed to better reflect how people actually shop on Amazon online."
"Instead of compiling an order with multiple items, they often remember things throughout the week they want or need, and then place multiple orders. Amazon has tried to work around the logistics headache this could cause by offering options like Amazon Day delivery, a day of the week that customers select to receive all their most recent orders at once. Amazon also incentivizes customers to choose slower delivery methods for a digital reward."
Amazon is updating its Shopping app and website to let Prime members add items to upcoming deliveries with one tap, replacing the one-click Buy Now button in eligible cases. A bright blue "Add to Delivery" button appears on product pages below "Add to cart" and allows items to join the next scheduled delivery. An immediate "Undo" option lets customers remove items right away if clicked accidentally. The button shows only when adding to the next order is available and is rolling out to U.S. Prime members across eligible items. Prime costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year in the United States.
