Do content creators need managers?
Briefly

Zack Honarvar is transforming his management company into Good Story Studios, emphasizing creative partnerships with content creators. He believes traditional management structures are not needed and aims to provide an alternative solution that collaborates directly with creators. Notably, many creators, including MrBeast and Charli D'Amelio, have moved their business operations in-house, often experiencing negative management relationships. This shift indicates a trend where management firms are evolving towards a more involved role, working as creative partners rather than merely overseeing talent.
We want to be a creative partner with the creators that we work with, where, when they're coming up with ideas, and we are packaging those ideas into materials and getting those into the hands of agencies and brands.
I'm doing this because I don't believe creators should have managers and I'm trying to build the alternative solution, because I don't necessarily think every creator has the luxury of being able to hire their own internal teams.
Several popular creators have abandoned their managers in recent years. MrBeast parted ways with his management company last year... to bring his business operations in house.
Many management firms are taking a more active role in their clients businesses, acting more as creative partners than talent wranglers.
