"The Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) is now accepting applications for three seats on the Parcel Tax Oversight Committee. The committee is comprised of 11 community members (including parent/guardians and district employees). It will meet four to six times over the next year to review the district's compliance with the terms of Measures B1 and A in 2024-25. Measure B1 (passed in 2016) raises about $12 million per year for core programs,"
"Measure A (passed in 2020) raises about $10 million per year solely for retaining and attracting high-quality employees by raising salaries. Measure E which combines and replaces Measures B1 and E went into effect on July 1. The oversight committee will begin reviewing that measure's first year of revenue and expenditures in 2026-27. Each year, the committee's work culminates in a staff annual report, as well as a shorter committee report, both of which are presented to the Board of Education."
