Ozzy Osbourne on Seeing This Is Spinal Tap: I "Wasn't Laughing" Because It Was Too Real
Briefly

Ozzy Osbourne revealed that he didn’t laugh at the mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap because it felt like a real documentary to him. He acknowledged that he had experienced similar situations as depicted in the film, such as getting lost on stage. Sometimes, he would confuse himself by rearranging the gaffer tape arrows pointing to the stage. Following his passing at age 76, Spinal Tap paid tribute to him by sharing an 'Ozzy Forever' graphic, stating honorarily that there are no amps loud enough to celebrate his legacy.
When I went to see Spinal Tap, I was the only person in the audience that wasn't laughing because it was really like a documentary to me. Those things actually happened [to me].
I had gotten lost on my way to stage multiple times, just like the famous 'Hello, Cleveland' scene in the 1984 movie.
Some of it was my own doing, as I would jokingly switch the arrows around on the gaffer tape pointing to the stage, ultimately confusing myself and my band.
Spinal Tap honored Ozzy with an 'Ozzy Forever' graphic, stating, 'There are no amps loud enough to honor this rock legend.'
