Peter Greene died at age 60 in his New York City home; cause of death was not immediately released. He was born in Montclair, New Jersey. Early leading roles included Laws of Gravity (1992) and Clean, Shaven (1993). In 1994 he played Zed, a memorable villain in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, and later that year he played another leading villain opposite Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz in The Mask. His manager Gregg Edwards praised him as a terrific, widely admired character actor and a very nice man. Greene was working on two projects at his death, including a documentary about the federal withdrawal of USAID funding.
