Jyotin Sethi considered bringing a Gymkhana-style restaurant to New York after Gymkhana's 2013 London success and visited New York in 2015 but judged the city not ready. The pandemic delayed expansion plans. JKS Restaurants operates 35 establishments worldwide, including Trishna, Hoppers, and Sabor. Recent openings like Dhamaka and Semma helped prepare the market. Ambassadors Clubhouse, a Punjabi restaurant sharing an address with A24's Manhattan headquarters, will open next week. The two-floor interior recreates elements of the siblings' grandfather's 1960s summer house, aiming for generational-wealth theatricality and midtown fine-dining grandeur.
