This year, Curaleaf is reinforcing its commitment to meaningful impact by partnering with The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY, also known as The Baldwin Fund, for its sixth annual at-register donation campaign. The initiative invites customers across most Curaleaf retail locations to "Round Up for Research" at checkout, with proceeds benefiting lifesaving research at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.

GBH announced a $225 million fundraising campaign Wednesday, as the public broadcaster attempts to weather major funding cuts from the federal government. The " Fund the Future " campaign launch was timed to coincide with the start of the government's new fiscal year and the expiration of federal funding. Lexi Collins was diagnosed with the disease in June and has already undergone two open-heart surgeries, had a pacemaker fitted, and is currently receiving intensive chemotherapy. Despite the challenges, Lexi's dream is to visit New York City this Christmas a wish that is now closer to becoming a reality thanks to the support from the community.

Franchise-focused private equity firm Franchise Equity Partners (FEP) announced it acquired a majority stake in 7 Crew, the second-largest franchisee of the fast-growing U.S. coffee chain 7 Brew. With the deal, FEP said it is following through on plans to open more than 200 7 Brew drive-through locations across Texas, Florida, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Blockchain lender Figure Technology is the latest crypto company to go public. On Thursday, Figure debuted on the Nasdaq after raising $787.5 million in its IPO. The company's shares listed at $25 but soared almost 30% to trade at $32 Thursday afternoon. That means the company, whose ticker is FIGR, is trading at about a $6 billion valuation. Founded in 2018, Figure's business centers around putting mortgages on the blockchain, which the company says speeds up the granting and funding of home loans.
