The White Elephant Sale is a large annual rummage event with nearly 20 departments housed in a warehouse almost twice the size of a football field, offering curated one-of-a-kind treasures and everyday items. Nearly 1,000 volunteers collect, sort, and repair donated goods year-round, rescuing thousands of items from the landfill and connecting families to school supplies, kids' bikes, prom dresses, jewelry, and estate antiques at low prices. Produced by the Oakland Museum Women's Board, the sale has contributed more than $33 million to the Oakland Museum of California over 60 years. The 67th sale runs January 25–March 1, 2026, with tiered ticketing including a $50 preview day.
