Saracens scored through Theo Dan, Sam Spink and Tom Willis with Burke kicking two penalties and conversions. A late tackle by Saracens captain Andy Onyeama-Christie before half-time returned possession and allowed van der Merwe to score for a 21-15 lead. Dan received a yellow card for a high tackle, after which Grant Williams extended the lead to 28-18. Saracens claimed a losing bonus point but could not overturn the deficit. JP Pietersen recorded his first match in charge.
