Lia Kantrowitz straddles the hand drawn and digital realm with striking illustrations
Briefly

Lia Kantrowitz is a versatile artist specializing in various media like posters, sculptures, and animations. Her passion for design originates from a need for catharsis, influencing her work's emotional depth. While her style ranges from traditional hand-drawn techniques to editorial designs, she has recently opted for hand-done artwork, distancing herself from digital tools due to technological fatigue. Living in Queens enriches her creations with an urban punk aesthetic, leading to evocative imagery that narrates emotional stories through her art.
I started out just making personal work and that's still a major portion of the work I put out, and is the main driver for techniques I've learned.
I want art and illustration to remain a therapeutic practice and working on my computer all the time feels antithetical to that.
