They are now focusing on selecting instances with higher baseline bandwidth and employing traffic shaping techniques to mitigate ongoing network throttling challenges.

Faced with latency and service disruptions from Amazon EC2 instances, Pinterest identified the need for migration to instances with higher baseline bandwidth to maintain performance during peak traffic.
