Eight Kaiser Permanente Northern California hospitals—Antioch, Manteca, Modesto, Redwood City, Roseville, San Jose, Santa Clara, and Vacaville—received U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care designation. The designation reflects meeting rigorous standards for caring for patients with uncomplicated pregnancies. The ratings aim to help expectant parents, alongside their prenatal care teams, choose maternity services that best meet family needs. Nearly 40,000 babies were delivered within Kaiser Permanente Northern California hospitals last year. Leadership credited a long-standing commitment to excellence in maternal health and highlighted physicians, midwives, nurses, and staff in providing safe, compassionate care before, during, and after birth.
