After graduating in 2009 amidst the economic downturn, I struggled to find a job in journalism. I decided to teach English in South Korea, which turned out to be a transformative experience. Despite initial challenges such as culture shock and being away from home, I appreciated the chance to immerse myself in a new culture and meet like-minded individuals. Teaching abroad not only broadened my worldview but also became a significant chapter in my life, prompting me to encourage others to consider similar paths after college.
While graduating during an economic downturn presented challenges, moving abroad to teach English in South Korea offered valuable experiences and opportunities for personal growth.
Teaching abroad not only allowed me to immerse myself in another culture but also opened the door to numerous travel opportunities throughout Asia.
