The Community College of Rhode Island's Warwick campus experienced a lockdown after a report of a suspicious man with a possible weapon. Police were alerted to a man walking into nearby woods with what appeared to be a gun. The college, in coordination with local police, advised students to seek shelter. Authorities conducted a search using K-9 units and drones. A backpack matching the suspect's description was found, containing an airsoft gun and a black pellet rifle. Classes were canceled for the day following the incident.
