"The site also claims to have sensitive data on more than 8,000 children and their families, including accident and safeguarding reports, as well as billing. It says all Kido nurseries in the UK were affected. The leak site cites attempts to negotiate with Kido and carries a threat to ruin their entire company as we slowly leak and we urge them to continue our dialog[ue]."
Radiant, a cybercriminal group, hacked the UK-based Kido nursery chain and posted profiles of ten children online while threatening to release many more unless paid. The group's leak site claims sensitive data on over 8,000 children and their families, including names, dates of birth, birthplaces, addresses, phone numbers, accident and safeguarding reports, and billing. The site outlines a roadmap to publish additional child profiles and private employee data and cites attempts to negotiate with Kido while threatening to ruin the company. Kido is working with the Information Commissioner's Office, Ofsted and the Metropolitan police and has engaged independent IT forensic experts.
