Manager Dave Roberts emphasized the importance of Treinen's health for the second half of the season.
The Dodgers activated RHP Blake Treinen, recalled LHP Justin Wrobleski and optioned RHPs Will Klein and Edgardo Henriquez.
Treinen was initially placed on the 15-day injured list in April with forearm tightness, but the Dodgers transferred the star reliever to the 60-day IL in May.
Manager Dave Roberts revealed the Dodgers were in no rush to bring Treinen back since the ultimate goal was to have the right-hander for the second half of the season.
Now, the Dodgers get back one of their biggest bullpen stars with Treinen's arrival to Boston.
