Tyler Glasnow, a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers, is making significant strides in his recovery from injury. Not having played since April 27, Glasnow has begun a throwing program and recently completed a bullpen session, feeling healthy and showing promise in his pitches. He is currently the furthest along among the Dodgers' injured pitchers, which include Blake Snell and Roki Sasaki, positioning him as a likely early returnee to the starting rotation as the team progresses cautiously with their rehab protocols.
Glasnow threw fewer than 20 pitches in his first bullpen session but Roberts said the reports were positive. 'He said he felt great afterwards,' Roberts said.
The Dodgers will not rush him back if they feel that there is the potential for a setback, taking their time with his rehab process.
Among the starters with a chance to return this season, Glasnow is considered the furthest along and likely to be the first in the rotation.
He began his throwing program about two weeks ago and met with Dr. Neal ElAttrache on May 12, an important step in his recovery.
