"Siani is a glove-first center fielder who has experience in all three outfield positions. In 2024, his 16 outs above average ranked in the 99th percentile of players. Although Siani appeared in a career-high 124 games that season, he spent the majority of this year with Triple-A Memphis and played in only 19 games for the Cardinals. While with the Memphis Redbirds this past season, Siani hit just .209/.307/.329 with 12 doubles, four triples, eight home runs and 41 RBI over 101 games."
"Siani has not yet qualified for arbitration and is under team control through the 2031 season. Moreover, he still has one Minor League option season remaining. Thus, the 26-year-old figures to start the season with Triple-A Oklahoma City and be among the depth the Dodgers potentially rely on if a need emerges in their outfield. Siani's role could be one similar to what Justin Dean held this past season."
The Los Angeles Dodgers claimed Michael Siani off waivers from the Atlanta Braves, bringing their 40-man roster to 39 players ahead of Edwin Díaz's signing. Siani, 26, has MLB experience with the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals and was designated for assignment by Atlanta after the Braves signed Mike Yastrzemski. Siani is a glove-first center fielder with experience at all outfield positions and ranked highly in outs above average in 2024. He spent most of 2025 in Triple-A Memphis, produced speed with 28 stolen bases, and remains team-controlled through 2031 with one minor-league option.
