"Esposito mentioned her pregnancy in stand-up specials and numerous social media posts over the last year. In a November 18 Instagram post, Esposito noted that she didn't really know what to expect during her pregnancy because she hasn't had very many friends who have been pregnant. She said the pregnancy made her constantly hungry, but also nauseous. She also said that she felt constantly angry at her wife "for everything" even when she hadn't done anything wrong."
"In a November 11 Instagram post, she also said that in vitro fertilization (IVF) - the conception method used by her and numerous other same-sex couples - is very expensive and that she found it difficult to step away from her stand-up comedy career (though she mentioned she has been actively working on other projects)."
Cameron Esposito and her wife Katy Nishimoto welcomed their first child, Yumi Young, announced in a November 27 Instagram post that stated "We are over the moon." The post included photos of Esposito in a hospital gown holding the newborn and Nishimoto holding the swaddled baby. Esposito revealed her pregnancy across stand-up specials and social media during the past year, describing symptoms including constant hunger, nausea, insomnia, anxiety, breathlessness and discomfort lifting her legs above her belly. Esposito also detailed the high cost of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and concerns about balancing fertility treatment with a comedy career, while affirming love for her wife.
