Weather: London to be battered by bank holiday downpours after record spring sunshine
Briefly

London will experience a wet and damp start to the bank holiday weekend, with rain expected following one of the driest Mays on record. Overnight showers will extend into Saturday morning, with highs around 21C; however, it will feel cooler. Rain is predicted to return Saturday night into Sunday, keeping temperatures around 15C. Bank Holiday Monday will also be wet, with afternoon showers. Despite the rain, some areas may brighten by midday, according to Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin, who states: "We did need some rain."
