TikTok launches SME council to elevate small business voices and boost digital growth
Briefly

TikTok has established a new SME Council to enhance the influence of small businesses within the digital economy in the UK. The initial meeting at Stoke-on-Trent gathered 20 entrepreneurs from various sectors to collaborate on a manifesto for government. This initiative is designed to provide a platform for SMEs to voice their insights, affect policymaking, and effectively use digital tools. With over 1.5 million active UK SMEs on TikTok, the platform is becoming a significant player in the business sector, encouraging diverse experiences and support among small business owners.
Small businesses make up an incredible amount of the UK's economy, but a lot of the time you have to figure it all out on your own.
It felt modern and welcoming. Sometimes Chambers of Commerce can feel a bit intimidating for early-stage founders who don't fit the usual mould.

The initiative is designed to help shape the future of small businesses by giving entrepreneurs a forum to exchange insights.
