Wentz struggled in the second inning, issuing a walk before Tyler Pham's homer and a sequence of singles and a wild pitch that allowed the Pirates to score four runs. Wentz settled and limited further damage, recording strikeouts and outs in the second and third. The Braves loaded the bases in the third but failed to score. Wentz allowed a single in the fourth.
