"Last month, the UK's largest independent media agency turned 20. And, as its founder is one of the industry's most respected figures (and, if we're honest, a little bit because the agency is named after one of our favorite London pubs), we thought it was high time we put Jenny Biggam in the 10 Questions on Advertising hot seat."
"The early days were an absolute roller-coaster. From the day we had saved our only copy of a pitch deck on to a memory stick (remember them?), which we dropped on to the tube tracks, to the day our first office got broken into and we had to go to the police station to retrieve our laptops. The toughest time for me personally though was the pandemic."
"OMG so many! From Christmas parties and awards nights to grad days, ski trips and big pitches, there have been so many highlights. I can't pick one - I'm really lucky to have a career I enjoy in an industry I love."
Jenny Biggam co-founded the7stars in 2005 after a decade at Carat and has guided the agency to become the UK's largest independent media agency. The agency has kept strong principles and fierce independent values while navigating significant industry change. Early challenges included operational mishaps such as losing a single pitch deck memory stick on the Tube and recovering laptops after a break-in. The pandemic proved personally hardest, forcing lockdown closures and highlighting how much she valued team energy, office design and the everyday buzz of agency life. The agency celebrated its twentieth anniversary.
