Google offers more ad data to publishers at DOJ antitrust trial
""Providing "publishers with these detailed insights, I think, is a good idea," Berntson said Tuesday."
""The specifics is something we'd have to explore.""
Google proposed providing website publishers with the underlying data that shows how its ad server determines which online display ad to show. The Justice Department seeks remedies including forcing Google to sell its advertising exchange and to make auction logic publicly available. Google cautioned that public disclosure of auction logic could be overly complicated, could change technology publishers rely on, and most publishers would not understand such technical details.
