"Yes, South Florida is running low on Santas."
South Florida is experiencing unusually high demand for Santa performers, with bookings for public events, office parties and private festivities at record levels. Many experienced Santas with natural white beards are fully booked and commanding higher fees. One school found its regular Santa unavailable and an Instagram contact quoted $400 an hour, nearly double last year’s rate. A homeowner declined a Santa who charged $675 for two hours because it exceeded budget. Families and organizers are prioritizing authentic beards over cheaper faux-beard Santas. The scarcity is forcing some events to go without Santa or pay premium prices.
