A lone male on foot approached and assaulted several people on Kimmage Road Lower, Dublin 12, shortly after 4pm. The suspect threatened passersby and allegedly attempted to stab a young woman pushing a pram, targeting her hand. A male jogger sustained a facial injury after being swiped with a small blade. A 73-year-old woman was grabbed near a church and later taken to hospital after a very elderly priest intervened to prevent further harm. GardaĆ­ arrested a man in his late 20s at the scene. The implement has not been recovered and witnesses are being sought. The suspect reportedly has significant health issues.
