"Gardaí from the DMR North Division carried out a number of searches under warrant in North Dublin earlier today. The Operation Fógra Investigation Unit conduced the searches with assistance from the District Drug and Detective Units, the Armed Support Unit and the Garda Dog Unit. "During the course of the searches a number of items were seized including weapons, drugs with an estimated value of €3,500, a quantity of high-end goods and €18,000 in cash," a Garda spokesperson said."

Gardaí added that the drugs will be sent for analysis to Forensic Science Ireland while investigations are "ongoing". Operation Fógra was launched to combat drug-related intimidation which has been identified as a major source of community harm and fear in the DMR and is a sinister motive for various forms of criminality."
