"CAB in High Court bid to secure €41k from murdered criminal's accounts A murdered Cork criminal claimed he was owed a €300,000 drug debt before he was shot dead at close range at his home. Darren Falsey had told a relative about the money he was owed but never disclosed the identity of the debtor, according to affidavit evidence in a Proceeds of Crime case brought by the Criminal Assets Bureau (Cab)."
The Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) has initiated a Proceeds of Crime case seeking €41,000 from accounts associated with a murdered Cork criminal. The victim, Darren Falsey, asserted he was owed a €300,000 drug debt prior to his killing. Falsey told a relative about the alleged debt but did not identify the debtor. He was shot dead at close range at his home. Affidavit evidence submitted in the case records Falsey's statement to a relative and supports the Bureau's asset recovery bid before the High Court.
