Canada has always been a hot bed for MMA. However, despite it's long and storied history of legendary fighters, there is still not a huge concerntration of MMA fighters in certain parts of the country. That's particularly true for the Western part of the country and even more so when you're looking at female fighters. For those reasons, the team of Jamey-Lyn Horth pushed her to get out and travel a bit after her last fight.

When SlapFIGHT Championship launched its first event in 2017 in Branson, Missouri, no one could've predicted it would spark a global phenomenon. The sport that started as a niche, underground curiosity has officially gone mainstream - and SlapFIGHT 50 marks more than a milestone card; it's a defining moment for slap fighting as a legitimate combat sport and entertainment brand.

The most obvious: was he re-signed with the intention of creating a bout with the now enigmatic Francis Ngannou? The former Bellator light heavyweight champion rides a 13-fight win streak and his highlights go back even further to his days as part of RIZIN in Japan. If "The Predator" is going to be enticed to return by anyone on the PFL roster, it feels like Nemkov would be the top choice.

On Wednesday, promotion officials announced the full slate of 2026 Prime Video events, which are now known as ONE Fight Nights (or alternately, ONE on Prime Video). A full dozen events will be live on the streaming platform next year; notably all but one of them will take place inside Bangkok, Thailand's Lumpinee Stadium. The lone exception is a June 26 return to the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

In the co-main event spot, Dan Hooker (24-13) will be fighting close to home when he takes on France's Benoit Saint-Denis (16-3, 1NC). Rafael Fiziev (13-4), meanwhile, takes on Mauricio Ruffy (12-2) in a second promising match-up at 155lbs.

The promotion's own private venue and production facility was a godsend during the coronavirus pandemic, allowing the UFC to consistently and safely put on events when just about every other sports league was shut down. Since fans returned to venues, however, the company has been frequently criticized for seemingly lackluster fight cards attached to Fight Night shows at the Apex, with the term " Apex slop " entering the MMA lexicon.
