Mark Kerr Headed to UFC Hall of Fame, Class of 2025
Briefly

Mark Kerr is set to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2025, recognized for his pioneering contributions to mixed martial arts (MMA). Known for his impressive wrestling background, Kerr became an NCAA Division I champion in 1992 before transitioning to MMA in 1997, where he achieved a remarkable undefeated streak at the start of his career. His accolades include winning the UFC 14 and UFC 15 tournaments, making him an eminent figure in MMA history, despite facing regulatory challenges in the PRIDE promotion.
Mark Kerr was a high-level wrestler who also fought for PRIDE and was one of the early pioneers of the sport, said UFC President Dana White.
Kerr was an NCAA Division I wrestling champ for Oklahoma City in 1992, and would make his MMA debut in 97.
He would post a 12-0, 1NC record to start his run as a professional fighter, winning the UFC 14 tournament.
During his time in PRIDE, the promotion was criticized for changing their ruleset to eliminate some of Kerr's preferred techniques.
