Xiaomi 15T in for review
"Our 15T unit comes in Black, but you can also get one in Rose Gold, which is similar to the Mocha Brown of the 15T Pro. The 15T downgrades the 6.83-inch 2772x1280px AMOLED to 120Hz, but the panel has the same 480Hz touch sampling rate, and 3,200 nits of peak brightness. The protective layer above the display is the same flat sheet of Gorilla Glass 7i."
"The cameras are actually unchanged compared to the 14T - you get a triple system with two 50 MP units - 23mm f/1.7 wide and 46mm f/1.9 2x zoom. There's also a 15mm f/2.2 ultrawide camera with a 12 MP sensor. Last year's 14T called its 2x a 50mm, but the setup is essentially identical. But sensors and optics aren't everything these days."
"Finally, Xiaomi touts its new Astral Communication, based on the Dimensity silicon inside the 15T series. It features Xiaomi Offline Communication, which debuts on the 15T models, and allows them to talk to each other without the need for a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. Two 15T's will be able to talk at distances up to 1.3km, two 15T Pros as far as 1.9km."
Xiaomi 15T matches the 15T Pro in size, screen diagonal and overall design, available in Black and Rose Gold. The phone uses a 6.83-inch 2772x1280px AMOLED at 120Hz with 480Hz touch sampling and up to 3,200 nits peak brightness under Gorilla Glass 7i. Camera hardware mirrors the 14T with two 50 MP units (23mm f/1.7 wide and 46mm f/1.9 2x zoom) plus a 12 MP 15mm f/2.2 ultrawide. Xiaomi AISP 2.0 enhances computational photography and color accuracy. Astral Communication enables offline device-to-device links up to 1.3km for 15T and 1.9km for Pro. Pricing begins at €650 for 12/256GB.
